Move from FreeAgent, Xero or QuickBooks

Fenquist reads the contact and product exports from FreeAgent, Xero and QuickBooks without any editing. Your old app stays as it is, so you can move at your own pace.

1. 1In Fenquist, go to Settings, Move from another app, and pick the app you're coming from.
2. 2In your old app, export your contacts (customers) as CSV or Excel. The page shows where to find it.
3. 3Back in Fenquist, choose Import under Clients, pick the file and Check file. Then add the rows that are ready.
4. 4Do the same with your products and services, if you keep a list.
5. 5Add your logo, colours and bank details in Settings, Business, so your first invoice looks like yours.

What comes across

• Client names, email addresses, contact names, addresses, VAT numbers and account codes.
• Products and services with their price, description and VAT rate.
• People without a company name come across under their own name.

What to know

• Every client needs an email address. Rows without one are listed so you can add it and import the file again.
• Phone numbers or codes in a format Fenquist doesn't recognise are left out; the rest of the client still comes across.
• Unpaid invoices stay in your old app. Chase them there until they're paid, or add them here as new invoices if you'd like Fenquist to send reminders.

Tip: Menu names in other apps change now and then. If you can't find Export, search their help centre for "export contacts".
