Who it is for

People in the UK who send invoices and deal with HMRC themselves or with an accountant: freelancers, contractors, sole traders, side businesses, tradespeople, consultants, small agencies and limited companies with up to ten people. Accountants can join their clients' accounts for free.

What it does

Getting paid

  • Invoices with the business's own logo and colours, VAT-ready lines and gap-free numbering; quotes, credit notes and statements.
  • Every invoice has a secure payment page. Clients pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through the business's own Stripe account, or by bank transfer. Fenquist never holds anyone's money.
  • Payment links for selling without a website, shared by message, email or QR code.
  • Automatic, polite reminders before and after the due date, sent on weekdays and stopped once the invoice is paid.
  • Recurring invoices for retainers, sent automatically or saved as drafts.

Money and tax

  • Receipt scanning, expenses in Self Assessment categories, supplier bills and mileage at HMRC approved rates.
  • A running estimate of Income Tax and National Insurance for sole traders, or Corporation Tax for limited companies, including Scottish rates. It is an estimate, not advice.
  • A home screen showing who owes what, what is due soon and what is safe to spend once tax is set aside.
  • Reports: profit and loss, VAT figures, Self Assessment boxes and a 90-day cash flow forecast.

Working with others

  • Team members with roles, and free read-only access for the business's accountant, with a year-end pack.
  • Full export of every record as CSV or Excel at any time.

Plans

Free for up to 5 clients with unlimited invoices. Pro is £12 a month (£120 a year) and adds unlimited clients and automatic reminders. Business is £24 a month (£240 a year) for up to 10 team members. Every new business gets 30 days of Pro free, with no card. Fenquist adds no fee to card payments; Stripe charges its standard rate. Current details: pricing.

Security and data

  • Hosted on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm), encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Each business's records are kept apart in the database with row-level security.
  • Two-factor sign-in, passkeys, sign-in with Google or Microsoft, and alerts for sign-ins from new devices.
  • Only essential cookies inside the app; no advertising trackers. UK GDPR requests through data requests.
  • No security certifications are claimed. Details and documents: trust centre.

What it doesn't do

  • It is not an accountant and gives no tax advice.
  • It does not file Self Assessment, Corporation Tax or VAT returns.
  • It does not hold money, offer bank accounts or lend.
