Getting paid as a dog walker

  • List the pet's name and the period covered; owners with several pets or walkers appreciate it.
  • Invoice regular walks monthly in advance or arrears, whichever you agreed.
  • Holiday cover and overnight stays are separate, higher-priced lines.

Every UK invoice also needs a unique number, the date, your name and address, your client's details, what you supplied and the amount due. More on what an invoice must show.

Should I charge for cancelled walks?

Many walkers charge for cancellations without 24 hours' notice. Put it in your terms and on the invoice.

How do owners usually pay?

Bank transfer or a card payment link. Links get paid faster because owners can pay straight from the message.

Is this dog walker invoice template free?
